Innovation and Research

finding new solutions

A few examples of what is being done:

  • Create an experimental garden : test what combination of species will do well to deliver on the objective(s)

  • Produce Honey from Myrtle (or Manuka trees): produce honey with medicinal properties and high retail value

  • “Low-Altitude” Olive Orchard : test what species will adapt to relative altitude and soil

  • Restore Truffle rows:  Restore what was once there and produce a high-value crop, challenge status quo, read old books, try “new and forgotten” techniques

  • Restore Aiguier into a natural pool; use it for irrigation. Install rainwater collection and distribution, including IoT-driven measurement a condition to be able to water at a reasonable cost viably in addition to solar power to base decisions on observations and measurable science
